Merry Christmas!

We had a fun family Christmas this year. After the girls opened their presents and emptied their stockings, we decided to check outside and see if Rudolph had eaten his carrot that we had left out for him. When we opened the door, the girls peeked out and found no carrot. Instead they found a pink princess tricycle and a pink princess scooter - just what they had been asking Santa to bring for months! Mommy also got a special present from the girls: a homemade decorated frame with pictures of the girls with daddy. It is so adorable and so special because Andy said they came up with the idea for the gift all by themselves. After breakfast we went for a walk through the neighborhood so the girls could try out their new presents. We spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon having fun at home playing with toys and games. We hosted a small family dinner with Grandma Laura, Papa Chuck, Uncle Josh, Aunt Rhoda, Lynn, Eric and cousin Elizabeth. The girls were especially excited because Elizabeth and her parents were spending the night. The girls also got to eat their Christmas dinner at the kid table - no grown ups allowed! All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing, special day that I hope the girls will remember when they are older!
