Flutterby Butterfly

Zoe got this great butterfly habitat for her birthday from Grammy Harriet. Once the habitat arrived, we sent away for the caterpillars. The whole family had fun watching the caterpillars grow bigger and bigger, and then one by one they began to form their chrysalis. Once the painted lady butterflies hatched, we observed them for a couple of days and then released them in the backyard.

Chloe loved checking on the butterflies throughout the day. Here she is saying bye-bye to them before the big release.
