Merry Christmas

The holidays have been busy here in Tucson. It seems like everyday there are more parties to attend. Here we got some pictures of Sophie at Brian and Becky's holiday party, which featured a guest appearance by Santa! All the kids gathered on the grass as Santa passed out presents. Sophie did a great job sitting on Santa's lap, but she was more interested in crawling in the grass than she was in opening her present. That's okay - it was just a book that she's had for awhile that mommy and daddy rewrapped - hehe!!

7 Months Old

I can't believe another month has gone by! Sophie is so busy these days, it was hard to get her to sit still for her picture with Pooh Bear. First she just wanted to hug Pooh, and then she wanted Pooh to sit on her lap. She finally agreed to just sit next to him so everyone can see how much she's grown. This little girl is definitely on the go and keeping her mom and dad on high alert!

Yogi Sophie

Crawling is too easy for Sophie, so she's decided to try yoga. Here she is mastering the downward dog position. Pretty impressive for a 7 month old!!

Where's Sophie?

There she is!! Now that Sophie is mobile, sometimes we have a hard time finding her. This time our game of hide and seek ended under the table. It's a little unnerving to leave the room only to return to no baby in sight! At least she's not very fast....yet!

Daddy Day Care

Last week Andy agreed to watch Sophie so I could attend a seminar. So what exactly did Daddy and daughter do while mom was out?? Play beauty parlor of course!

Marsh Family Thanksgiving/Christmas

The day after Thanksgiving we flew to Indiana to celebrate with the Marsh extended family. We were prepared for cold weather, but we were surprisingly greeted with temperatures in the high 60s! It was a wonderful time for all. Sophie got to meet all of her aunts and uncles on her Dad's side and lots of cousins too. On Saturday about 25 people came to the Indiana house to celebrate an early Christmas, which included lots of eating, visiting, and children playing and opening presents. Sophie had a lot of fun with the bows on her gifts. Before heading back to Tucson, we got to spend an afternoon at Sophie's great grandma Marsh's house. While there, we took a picture of 4 generations: Great-grandma Marsh, Grandma Ann, Andy and me, and Sophie. We think that was pretty special.
